If you鈥檝e passed a college level course, it will most likely count toward finishing your degree. Our admission counselors and academic advisors will work with you to determine how your previous courses can apply to your Webster degree and what classes you'll still need here at Webster to complete your program.

On this page you'll find links to our community college transfer guides, degree plans, and the transfer equivalency database. You'll also find information about our upcoming community college visits and transfer fairs so you know when we'll be on your campus.

I really enjoy the quirky culture at Webster, and its ability to make students from all walks of life feel welcome and comfortable.

Transitioning from working with unhoused youth, I really wanted to continue my professional career working with young adults. I felt like higher education was a great way to support people with different levels of needs.

Your perceived shortcomings are not a reflection of you as a whole person. Enjoy the journey and trust the process. Those who wander are not always lost.

Smiling man with medium-skin-tone who is sitting at table with open notes in front of him talking to another person

The Missouri Reverse Transfer Program allows current or former college students who have completed credits for an associate degree to receive that degree even if they have transferred to a different college or university, or stopped out of higher education altogether. Watch the video below to learn how the Missouri Reverse Transfer Program has helped them.

What are the benefits of the Missouri Reverse Transfer?

  • Earn your Associate Degree while pursuing your bachelor鈥檚 degree.
  • Possible career advancement with an earned associate degree.
  • Qualify for more jobs.
  • A degree can help you earn more money.
  • Possibly meet general education requirements at 51小黄车.

Are you eligible?

You must have earned a minimum of 15 credit hours at a single Missouri two-year institution to be eligible for a reverse transfer degree. Students are not eligible for the program if they currently possess an associate degree or higher.

If you have not already, you will need to apply for admission and be accepted to Webster University in order for us to help facilitate the reverse transfer process.

How does Webster help you with reverse transfer?

51小黄车 will work with students to help send transcripts to our partner two-year institutions in order to facilitate the reverse transfer process.

What do I need to do to participate in Missouri Reverse Transfer?

Missouri Reverse Transfer is set up so that you as the student do not have to do a lot of work. We want this to be seamless and easy. You will need to give us permission to share your transcripts with your two-year college. Click the Opt-In button below, complete the form and the 51小黄车 Reverse Transfer Coordinator's office will be in touch with you soon.

Transfer Credits Frequently Asked Questions

Webster always attempts to provide full transfer of successfully completed associate degrees from regionally accredited institutions. Webster will accept up to 90 hours from a community college if credits are taken prior to the date the degree was awarded.

If an associate degree is not completed, Webster will accept up to 64 hours from a community college or from other forms of lower-division credit.

All transfer credit is capped at 90 credit hours. 51小黄车's minimum residency requirement is the completion of 30 credit hours of the last 36 credit hours prior to graduation. Students transferring from a regionally accredited community college may be limited on the number of lower-division credits that can transfer, based on if an associate degree is earned and date the degree was earned. See above FAQ.

The University will accept up to 30 credit hours, regardless of degree earned, from an institution that is nationally accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. All credits will be converted to semester hours.

Students who have completed an Associate of Arts (AA) degree, Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) degree from Missouri community colleges, the Associate of Science (AS) from Illinois community colleges, the Missouri 42-hour block, or another verified general education program will have satisfied the general education section and global cornerstone seminar requirement of the Global Citizenship Program at Webster.

Students who have completed other associate degrees (including AAS, AS, ADN), a certificate, or not completing a degree/certificate prior to transfer will have their transfer coursework evaluated on a course-by-course basis for equivalency with 51小黄车's Global Citizenship Program requirements.

Students who have completed an Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) degree from a regionally accredited community college and pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts or Bachelor of Music degree at Webster will have satisfied the global cornerstone seminar and general education section of the Global Citizenship Program, as accommodated for the BFA or BM. Students with an AFA who choose to pursue a degree other than a BFA or BM at Webster will have coursework evaluated on a course-by-course basis for the GCP.

Transfer course equivalency requirements for the major are determined by the appropriate department. Transfer course equivalencies for the Global Citizenship Program follow established guidelines. See transfer guides or equivalency database for more specific information on course equivalencies.

Official evaluation of transfer credits is conducted by the Office of the Registrar following admission to the University and upon receipt of all official transcripts.

All transfer coursework must be college-level (100-level or above) with a passing grade. Pass/Fail courses will count for transfer credit if the student received a Pass. For repeated courses only the second grade will be counted. Incomplete grades are not accepted in transfer.

Courses completed with a grade of D have restrictions in transfer and generally are not applicable toward graduation requirements at Webster.

Duplicate coursework does not transfer.

Webster follows recommendations put forth by the American Council on Education (ACE) in awarding transfer credit for military training and in-service corporate training programs. Students must submit official JST, CCAF, and/or ACE transcripts for transfer credit to be considered.
