Health Services and Health Insurance
Welcome to Student Health Services and Student Health Insurance
Services: 51小黄车's Student Health Services Department is a nurse-directed clinic staffed by a Registered Nurse. The Registered Nurse provides acute triage for minor illness and injuries and will assist with physician referral as needed. All services are confidential, and treatment is free of charge. An appointment is required to see the nurse. Contact the office receptionist to make an appointment by calling 314-246-4207. The Student Health Services email address is: health@webster.edu.
Location: 540 Garden Ave. St. Louis, MO 63119 USA (west of the parking garage on the Webster University main campus)
Hours: Noon-4pm, Monday-Friday. Closed on weekends and campus holidays.
Public Safety is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergency care. Contact the 51小黄车 Public Safety Office at 314-246-6911.
Transportation for medical treatment outside the Student Health Services Department is not provided by the University.
Student Health Services Electronic Health Records System Information
Health documents and immunization information must be electronically submitted through the patient portal for review. Faxes will not be accepted. All documents must be translated and submitted in the English language. The registered nurse will review and notify the student by email if documents are incomplete or further information is required.
- Students access the electronic site through the address .
- Students log-in to the Patient Portal using their Connections ID and Password.
- Follow the directions on the portal to complete the requirements.
Vaccinations
- All students attending any of the 51小黄车 campus locations in Missouri are required by Missouri law to electronically submit the Tuberculosis Screening Questionnaire and additional testing if required.
- All resident students at the Webster Groves campus (residing in East Hall, West Hall, Maria Hall, Webster Village Apartments or Big Bend) are required to provide proof of the following vaccinations:
MMR vaccination: two doses of the MMR vaccination which is Measles - Mumps - Rubella.
Meningitis vaccination: has multiple names such as as Menactra, Menveo, MCV4, MPSV4 given at age 16 or later; protects against Meningitis A, C, Y and W-135. If this vaccination was given before age 16 a booster vaccination is required.
FAILURE TO SUBMIT THE REQUIRED HEALTH DOCUMENTS PRIOR TO MOVING INTO HOUSING WILL JEOPARDIZE YOUR HOUSING PLACEMENT AND AN ADMINISTRATIVE "HOLD" WILL BE PLACED ON THE STUDENT'S ACCOUNT. AN ADMINISTRATIVE HOLD WILL RESTRICT THE STUDENT FROM MAKING ANY CHANGES TO THE CURRENT AND FUTURE COURSE SCHEDULES.
International students attending the University with a F-1 or J-1 visa are required to enroll in the 51小黄车 Student Health Insurance Plan (see below).
51小黄车 Student Health Insurance Plan Details
For INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:
- International students on F-1 or J-1 visa status attending 51小黄车 in the United States are required to be enrolled in the 51小黄车 Student Health Insurance Plan. This includes "break鈥 periods (including summer, winter and granted break periods.)
- Upon registration for classes, international students on F-1 and J-1 visas will be automatically enrolled into the Webster Student Insurance Plan.
- Students will be automatically billed through their student account. The coverage dates are August 1, 2023 鈥 July 31, 2024, and the annual premium is $1,157.28.
- Student Health Insurance Plan is through GeoBlue. The website to GeoBlue is
- Upon being enrolled, students will receive an email from GeoBlue with information about accessing your insurance card and benefits of the plan.
For DOMESTIC (U.S.) ON-CAMPUS RESIDENTS:
- Residential domestic students are responsible to maintain a health insurance plan that is accepted by medical providers within the St. Louis area.
- All residential students should check with their current health care provider to verify health insurance coverage and benefits through their health insurance company while attending 51小黄车 in St. Louis, Missouri.
- Webster does not provide insurance coverage options for U.S. citizens. Domestic students are encouraged to visit for insurance options.

Lashawn King, RN
Registered Nurse, Student Health Services
Lashawn King, RN (she/her) is the assigned Registered Nurse for 51小黄车's Student Health Services. King received her associate's in Applied Science in Nursing from Saint Louis Community College at Forest Park in Saint Louis, MO. King has a Compact Nursing License that allows her the flexibility to work in 37 states. She has over 20 years of nursing experience in multiple nursing specialties including medical-surgical, OR, oncology, public nursing and school nursing.
King loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling, watching movies and helping others.
Yolanda Bogan, MHRD, BHRM
Coordinator, Student Health Services and Counseling/Life Development
Yolanda Bogan, MHRD, BHRM (she/her) is the Student Health Services and Counseling/Life Development Coordinator for 51小黄车. Bogan received her BA in Human Resource Management at Lindenwood University and her master鈥檚 in Human Resource Development right here at 51小黄车. With over 15 years of insurance and managed care experience, Bogan has become an advocate for individuals to receive the best care possible.
In her spare time, Bogan enjoys traveling and being with family and friends.
Emergency Assistance
51小黄车 is committed to helping our students through unexpected financial
hardships. Emergency aid, including loans, grants, tuition adjustments/waivers, food
assistance and funds for textbooks and technology, is available to students enrolled
at campuses in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
